The easiest and fastest way to make cookies

I cannot remember exactly which one of my roommates introduced me to these in college, but I am forever grateful! They are super delicious, and they are the quickest and easiest things to make. Oh and the cookie dough tastes wonderful too... Guess what, you only need 3 things to make them!!!

one box of Pilsbury's funfetti cake mix

2 eggs

1/3 cup of oil

Mix all these ingredients up until it looks like the picture below...

Now all you have to do is scoop cookie dough into little 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet as so...

Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes and wa la! You just made yummy delicious funfetti cookies. Be ya didn't know you could make cookies out of cake mix. Oh, and this recipe is on the side of the funfetti box for your convenience. Enjoy!

FYI: today was one of my long runs. I ran 5 miles, and it was not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. Check out the running calendar here: half marathon training schedule

YUMMY

I have found my favorite chocolate chip cookies recipe and thought I would share it with you!

Chocolate Chip Cookies
(adapted from Sheena)

2 sticks of butter (room temp.)
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 3/4 cup of brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp of baking soda
3/4 tsp of salt
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chunks

Cream butter and sugars. Add one egg at a time(making sure that they are fully incorporated before adding the next egg). Add vanilla. The next part is adding all the dry goods. I like to break it down into 3's so you don't have a flour overload that goes spilling out the bowl. Add 1 cup of flour, 1/4 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of baking soda. Mix until fully incorporated. Repeat this step 2 more times so that you have the total amount of flour, salt, and baking soda needed in the recipe.

Drop a spoonful of cookie dough onto a greased cookie sheet, and spinkle a little bit of sea salt on the top. Delicious!! (for all you who know my sea salt addiction--- this is swell).

Bake at 350° for 11 minutes. Get them out of the oven when they still look slightly gooey in the middle but have light golden edges.

Enjoy!

Ps: if you didn't think these could taste any better... add a scoup of Blue Bell's original vanilla ice cream( I guess any vanilla ice cream will work, but I am just overly addicted to Blue Bell's creaminess) in the middle of two cookies. Mind blowingly good! TRUST ME! I have references!

Also, If any of you believe that you have an even better recipe, leave it in a comment. I will test it out. However, if it worse.. I might be upset! :)

Have a fabulous Monday!

Utahhhhhhh

We made it to Utah. We arrived Friday night to Salt Lake, where we were picked up by our amazing friend Justin. We chilled at his place for awhile and then headed to Gloria's to watch a movie (The Devil Wears Prada). We then stayed the night at my mother in law's place. The next morning my sister picked Charlie and me up so we could see her new apartment (Whit, it looks amazing!!!).  Charlie's dad picked up Charlie for the BYU vs UTAH game while we left for Cafe Rio!!! OH EM GEEEE, I love Cafe Rio!!! 1 pork burrito and tortilla soup later, we were off to the Utah State Fair. This was my 3rd year in a row going with Gloria. I still love it as much as the first time. My sister Whitney and sister in law Katie came too! We had a fun little girls night out! Frequent texts from Charlie kept me updated with the score of the game. Sorry BYU fans... there was just no way that y'all could beat Utah... mainly because of the awful way that y'all played! :)

Gloria's picture- very typical! Love her!
Whitney's picture :)
Can you see my face??!

Katie, me, and Gloria (they ducked down so that they could be closer to my height)!
Deep fried oreo's! Yummy!
Deep fried Snickers!
The fair was a success! the next day my mother in law made us lasagna and apple pie before we left for the airport! It was absolutely delicious! Of course, I missed my first flight back to Atlanta (the worst part about flying standbye). Eventually, I made it home though! Thank you everyone who made our trip amazing! Oh, today started my "official" training for my half marathon! Look forward to my post later!

Hello Atlanta

Charlie and I have officially made the move!!! Thank goodness my parents live close by! They honestly helped us out so much this weekend! We officially moved in on Saturday. We just got internet up and running! That was killer. Anyway, the apartment isn't up to its fully decorated self quite yet.... but we have finished our bedroom! Here are some pictures of what we have done.

My dad and Charlie found out that this ikea funiture should be called "the hardest thing to put together furniture." My mom and I also realized that ikea isnt as fun as it looks. I used to love walking through that store. I had never bought anything from the storehouse section--- awful experience! I think it will be awhile before I go back to ikea. I was told this summer by my sister Ashley that I chose the most girly bedding in the world. Sorry Charlie, (thankfully for me, you could not care less). Hey, at least it is super comfy!

Take me out to the ball game

Yesterday, we were able to go to Turner Field with our friends to see the Braves take on the Dodgers(Charlie's favorite team). Unfortunately, my Braves did not end up taking them down like I hoped. The Dodgers beat us. LAME! However, we were able to at least end the game with some fireworks that they did. All in all, it was a fun night with our friends!

(cute girl sitting in front of us with her stylish Braves tee)

(Jocelyn doing the Braves tomahawk chop)
(Please excuse our terribly lit picture)

(these were our sad faces after losing the game- pretty accurate portrayal of how we felt)
 (YAY! FIREWORKS)

Run your ACE off Saturday!

Well, it was another really tough run! What a killer! I honestly hope I will be able to run this half marathon. This is the furthest I have ever run in my life, and I wanted to die afterward. I truly hope that it gets easier. I ran all the way around Lake Peachtree this morning. I thought it was only 3 miles... it killed me running those last .54 miles!

GLAM

My friend Jocelyn has been doing glitzy toe nails for a ton of people in my area. Two weeks ago she did them on me. I am in love! They still look brand new. Last week she tried out her new shelac nail polish on me. Shelac is just a different type of polish that lasts so much longer. It has been over a week and it still hasn't chipped! I am now obsessed with the glitter idea and it inspired me to add some glitter to my finger nails. It is so easy to do! All you have to do is put a clear coat of nail polish on, dump craft glitter on the wet nail, brush off excess and once dried, put another coat of the clear nail polish on-BAM! You have glam nails!
